When I first started my blog, I had no vision, skill or desire for it to last any longer than 3 months. I was going through a very difficult situation and like most situations, I had to play the waiting game. As I am only partly employed and work from home, I was on my own in a quiet space literally watching the clock tick most days. It wasn’t the ideal situation for great mental health- which I credit myself in always maintaining.
I have always wanted to start a blog as I have a lot to say and not enough time or audience to say it. However, I have also always been afraid of judgment, being misunderstood and online trolls. This fear held me back from starting my blog but this time around I found myself needing to channel my thoughts and energy into something positive.
In March this year, I decided to start this blog. I wrote my first few posts and after huge debates with myself, I finally clicked the post button and Boujee was born.
All I have to say is that this blog came as a life saver. There is nothing quite like writing to put one’s life into perspective. If you know me well, you will know that I try to do everything to the best of my ability and that’s exactly what I have done with Call Me Boujee.
Join me on my travels, struggles, and mumbles.
A little bit about me:
I am originally Uganda- born and raised. I now live in Ireland which is hands down the most understated country I have ever loved in. My husband and I have been here for 2 year now and we are loving it. Everyone wants to live or visit New York, London, Sydney etc. I would love to visit all the above mentioned, but I wouldn’t live anywhere else in the world.
Ireland is beautiful, to say the least. The landscape is breathtaking, the culture is rich and the history is alive.
Every now and then I will have a little rant on here (not often at all). Please don’t mind me. My blog is my therapy.
I hope my blog will inspire you to visit the Island of leprechauns and fairies.
